Georgia Junior Golf membership is open to juniors of all skill levels between 5 and 18 who have not yet started college. A junior golfer’s age as of June 1 during the current year determines the age for the entire calendar year. We offer a variety of membership levels to meet the junior’s needs.

You can choose between Regular Membership, Beginner Membership, or Fall Membership. Each package includes several benefits such as membership with the Georgia State Golf Association (GSGA), tournament entry and access to other special events.

Our members have access to several tournaments throughout the year, including spring tournaments, summer series tournaments, fall series tournaments, MAADA tour series tournaments, parent & junior series tournaments, and a skills challenge series.

Each tournament offers competition for many different divisions, giving junior golfers of all ages and skill levels the chance to test their abilities in a safe and positive environment. We announce the winners of each division for each tournament and hold an awards banquet at the end of the year.

About Us

Georgia Junior Golf (formerly the Atlanta Junior Golf Association) traces its origins to 1974, when a local sports writer for the DeKalb County weekly paper, Mike Bentley, recognized the need for a junior golf program in the Atlanta area.

During its inaugural season, 99 boys and girls registered to play a schedule of a half dozen events. The cost was $2. The season-ending grand championship, held at Pinehurst #2, closed out a successful first season and laid out the foundation for the successes Georgia Junior Golf has realized since. In all, it’s estimated that GJG has helped introduce more than 10,000 junior golfers to the game.
