Georgia Junior Golf firmly believes that knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf is important for anyone who wishes to play and enjoy the game — especially for junior golfers who wish to compete at any level.
All Georgia Junior Golf members are required to complete and pass an online Rules quiz before selecting any tournaments for the Summer or Fall Series. Online resources are provided to help guide juniors through the quiz. This test is designed to establish introductory knowledge of the Rules and basics of etiquette for juniors and can be completed before or after the Orientation/Rules Seminar (see below for those required to participate).
First-year members are required to take the online Orientation Seminar during their first year of participation with Georgia Junior Golf, which will briefly outline organizational policies and procedures, as well as some etiquette and basic rules information. There will be a 10-question quiz at the end of the presentation. Juniors MUST pass the quiz to meet the Orientation Seminar requirement.

Beginner Divisions Players are responsible for completing this Orientation Seminar during their first year of membership with Georgia Junior Golf and will fulfill the Rules Seminar requirement “second year” upon their graduation from the Beginner Division into an Intermediate Division.
Second-year members are required to take the online Rules Seminar during their second year (or upon graduation form a Beginner Division) of participation with Georgia Junior Golf, which will provide in-depth coverage of the Rules of Golf. There will be a 15-question quiz at the end of the presentation. Juniors MUST pass the quiz to meet the Rules Seminar requirement.

Junior golfers are not required to fulfill the seminar to compete in a Spring Series event.
A junior golfer who fails to take a mandatory Orientation or Rules Seminar will not receive a GHIN handicap number or their Youth on Course membership. Your account will remain suspended until the Rules Education Policy is completed.
Junior golfers who have participated in BOTH an Orientation Seminar (during year one) and a Rules Seminar (during year two) are only required to take an online Rules of Golf quiz before they are allowed to register for golf tournaments each subsequent year. Third-year members (and beyond) are not required to complete any seminar, but are welcome to do so if they desire. While participation for additional Rules Seminars is not mandatory, it is certainly encouraged, as the Rules of Golf are complex and can change frequently.
